Mitsu Salmon Butoh/Movement class

BUTOH BODY Presents Mitsu Salmon
Sundays from 12-2 February 21 and 28
Suggested donation $10 drop-in
Drawing from Butoh, Noguchi and improvisation, this class will explore the connection with body, mind and imagery.
  1. Exercises of Noguchi (which were integrated into Butoh training). The body is thought of as water and the goal is to release the natural body.
  2. Guided imagery with movement, structured and improvised.
  3. Body and mind centering exercises, working with breathe and body connection.
The class will collaboratively be made with students based on their interests and needs.
Mitsu is an interdisciplinary artist who works with performance, movement and voice. She has practiced Butoh for 8 years and been part of a Butoh company, Ima Tenko and Kiraza for 3 years in Japan.
